We must meet minimums for the course to go. That is most likely to happen if the host Agency supports the course while investing in it by registering and paying for some of their officers to attend. It is also key for the hosting agency to participate in promoting the course to surrounding agencies to help fill the course. Agency investment in the training and help promoting the training are keys to running a successful course.
The per Officer cost for a Four Day Level One Course is $950.00 per Officer. This covers cost of instruction and instructor pay. Depending on the location and course the host agency is also responsible for instructor travel, rental car, and lodging. These expenses can be reimbursed through check or purchase order after the event via receipt or proof of payment.
The Second option for an agency is to negotiate a closed agency only course that would be custom made of the department. In this case the department would negotiate a total cost for instruction with Chad Lyman. Chad could provide a detailed proposal outlining the agreed upon training to provide a record of the closed training course and its costs. Instructor expenses such as travel, rental car, lodging, and food would apply and be listed in such a proposal.
The Third option is an agency may have an amount of training money they have available for training. The agency could negotiate with C4C PJJ to host the course and contribute that amount of money for a certain amount of officers to train in the event. PJJ and the agency could then market the course to surrounding agencies to sell the rest of the event out.
Agencies (or hosts) can also host custom courses with a specific objective. For example a two day LEO ground course, advanced instructor development, vehicle extraction, weapon retention and defense, etc. The course can be specific in nature and varying lengths from one to three days. We can also do extended courses of varying lengths depending on department needs. These custom courses will be priced accordingly. All of the things that make a traditional course successful apply to custom courses as well.
Staff to conduct training will be certified PJJ Instructors assigned by Chad Lyman. A course is not guaranteed to have Chad Lyman teach, but all instructors will be Chad Lyman certified and assigned. Please contact Chad Lyman directly via email or cell 702-336-6543 for more information.
